WoodShine by Jus
His first Pallet: our hallwayIt all began in June of 2015 on our hallway floor. We had to patch a section due to justin finding a weak spot in the floor and stomping through it. After watching the guys screw in the plywood, justin began screwing in the other screws from the box in lines from each corner of the wood. Then he searched high and low in our home for any screws, nails or other straight items. So, I started buying him screws. He began placing them in various lines and patterns. Eventually we discovered his favorite was flat-headed roofing nails and he layered them all over the wood making wave-like patterns in a very calculated way. It was amazing. it took months an thousands of nails to cover the floor and once that was full, I started offering other sections of wood. He hasn't stopped yet. He gets at least one piece of wood per day either on a hike or from a tree that fell in our back yard, and we estimate he has gone through over 150, 000 3/4 inch galvanized roofing nails since June...seven months: over 20K nails a month.
